Chart notes
KNICKS STORY rushed to the front to set the pace while leading throughout, drew off on the final turn and won going away under light urging. HIGH PRINCE was allowed to settle around the first turn then advanced down the backstretch from four wide, tipped in to three wide around the final turn and made a late run to be second best. DRIED PEPPER prompted the pace around the first turn then stalked the paced down the backstretch but was no match for the winner and weakened. WISE VERDICT was allowed to settle around the first turn then advanced down the backstretch from three wide, tipped in to two wide around the final turn but flattened out. MUFFIN NUTS raced off the pace to the to the quarter pole then fell back on the turn and was best of the rest. PINEDALE raced near the back and was not a threat. RUN CARLOS tracked the leaders from the inside to the quarter pole but lacked a response, pulled up in the stretch and was transported on the equine ambulance.
