Chart notes
SHARPASADIAMOND broke sharp, vied inside down the back stretch, inched clear into the lane, dug in gamely leaving the sixteenth marker, determined drive held on at the wire. BOLD DESERT outrun and out of the picture down the backside, picked up the bit leaving the quarter pole, five deep turning into the lane, frenzied rally through the final sixteenth, just missed at the wire. MAGICAL SURPRISE tracked off the pace and just off the rail into the far turn, under serious urging outside rivals leaving the quarter pole, chased on between late, settled in for the show. CASTLE OF CORK broke alertly, vied two wide into the far turn, under pressure leaving the furlong marker, flattened out to the wire. THE HOUND tucked inside leaving the first turn, saved ground down the backside, clean rail trip through the lane, had no late kick. GRANDPA JOE rated off the pace around the first turn, under heavy urging five wide leaving the three eighths marker, weakened through the lane.
