Chart notes
CAPPUCCINO CRUNCH broke step slow, easily cruised clear into the turn, widened the margin under mild encouragement, kicked away convincingly through the lane. ZEPHINA lacked speed out of the chute, took aim inside leaving the furlong marker, running on the wrong lead, finished willingly for the place award. WICKED HEIRESS broke a step slow, scrubbed along chased inside around the turn, drifted out into the lane, unable to switch leads through the stretch, evened out safe for the show. HOWDIDTHATWORKOUT broke alertly, chased three wide from the quarter pole, came up empty through the lane. BEVERLY CRUSHER broke sharp, pressed four wide around the turn, weakened through the stretch. HOPING very slow into stride, roused off the pace three wide leaving the quarter pole, never threatened.
