Chart notes
DIMATIC settled in second position behind OLD HOMESTEAD, was not making much progress getting to that rival late on the turn, then had some trouble getting straight in upper stretch, found best stride inside the sixteenth, and wore down that rival in the final yards to take down the top prize. OLD HOMESTEAD was left alone on the lead through the early stages, held off a challenge from DIMATIC in upper stretch, kept on gamely, then yielded to that foe in the final yards. BLUE LIGHT ducked out at the start, making contact with GO GO BOSS, raced in md-pack three-wide, was idling in upper stretch, but kept to task and was closing the gap in the final yards, but ran out of time. GO GO BOSS took a bump from the inside rival at the start, tracked three-wide down the backstretch, started a forward move late on the turn, loomed a threat approaching the stretch, shifted to the inside in mid-stretch, but came up short at the end. MALIBU S S raced well behind the pace three-wide, ran on some through the stretch, but was unable to threaten. KNOCK KNOCK JOKE was outrun near the rear of the field early, tried to run on late, but was unable to improve. LIGHTNING STRUCK rushed up into the early pace mix after a slow start, started to lose ground as the field headed into the turn, faded to last and was not involved in the late stages.
