SASSAFRASSNESS , allowed to settle early, circled horses on the turn, floated to the four path at the head of the stretch, took the lead outside SPENCER TIARA near the sixteenth pole and held sway under energetic urging. SPENCER TIARA sped to the front, remained near the inner rail throughout, lost the lead then dug in stubbornly in a sharp effort. MS NOTION chased the pace from the two path on the turn, advanced between the top pair in mid stretch then weakened. ANITA BEER stayed along the inner rail on the turn and in the stretch, chased and weakened. NANCY MARY hesitated the broke awkwardly, was far back early, raced in the two path on the turn and failed to be a factor. BIG EARN raced in the two path on the turn and weakened. CHICKIN LICKIN hugged the inner rail on the turn while outrun.
