Chart notes
SHANE'S WONDER shook loose early then eagerly widened through the stretch while being geared down late. SUNCHILL pressed the pace, came out near the far turn crowding rival and continued well. RESPIGHI broke sluggishly, steadied near the far turn, angled out in the stretch and rallied well. SAM'S GLORY raced close up between rivals and faded in the stretch. TONGUE TIED lagged far behind then passed rivals without menacing. BUTTER MAN raced off the leaders and weakened steadily. SLEW OF FORTUNE prompted the pace for half mile and faltered. IN THE CLOUD moved wide down the backstretch and gave way. Following a stewards inquiry and an objection by the third finisher against the second finisher for interference near the far turn, SUNCHILL was disqualified and placed third.
