Chart notes
NINTH WARD BOBBY O prompted the pace from two wide around the first turn then moved up to press the pace before taking the lead near the quarter pole drew clear, drifted in midway down the stretch and lasted. RAY MEFASOLATEEDOE shot to a clear lead to midway down the backstretch but was collared near the quarter pole and fought gamely down the stretch to be a clear second. LEE STREET tracked the leaders from four wide through the turn and showed late interest to be up for the show. DR. DEAN settled off the pace from off the rail but lacked a late response and was outfinished. OLE MISTER was off slow and raced wide to pass tired one. MIDNIGHT COAL raced in the middle of the pack while saving ground to no avail. COZZINO was reluctant to load into the starting gate, trailed the field and was outrun. GUITAR GUY lugged out going into the first turn and lost action, pulled up and transported on the equine ambulance.
