Chart notes
NO NAPPING tracked three-deep down the backstretch, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, took over the lead before the quarter pole, and drew off in the stretch despite racing mostly on the wrong lead. DIANNA'S LADY tracked the pacesetter into the turn, could not kick on with NO NAPPING from the quarter pole, but finished clear of the next horse. STICK AROUND raced at the back of the main pack, moved up under a ride through the turn, flattened out in the stretch, but outfinished the rest to gain the third prize. SMARTASSET went to a narrow lead in the early stages, gave way midway through the turn, then went one-paced through the lane. ANOTHERWINNER got pinched back at the start, then was devoid of any early speed, raced far behind the rest, always under a ride, started to run on after passing the three-furlong pole but was unable to improve much. TOTAL SMOKESHOW pressed the pace along the rail, weakened before the half, and steadily faded.
