Chart notes
ICE SHOT broke out then hit the gate and was off a step slow, angled in at the rear entering the main-track, moved out late on the backstretch, chased in the three then four path on the turn, moved to the five path outside the quarter-pole, made a bid into the stretch, took a short advantage in the vicinity of the three-sixteenths pole, fought outside of two foes into the final furlong, shook clear at the sixteenth-pole and drew away while eased up late to prove much the best. ANTIETAM broke out at the start then was corrected by the rider, chased the pace on the outside, made a bid with a half-mile to run, vied in the three path on the turn, fought with two foes into the final furlong and was outfinished while clear for the place. MR R T prompted the pace on the inside of the leader, drew even with that foe with a half-mile to run, vied along the rail while inside of two opponents on the turn, battled under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was well clear for the show. SHELLAC went to the front the showed the way, vied in the two path while between foes on the turn, dropped back outside the quarter-pole and capitulated. KLIMT MASTER was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four path and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
