Chart notes
MANFREDI prompted the pace in the three path, bid in hand midway around the far turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the lane, took the lead passing the furlong grounds, and drew clear late. LITTLE STEVEN showed the way from just off the rail up the backstretch, came under pressure when challenged midway around the far turn, fought on from the three path in upper stretch, yielded to the winner in the final furlong, but was clearly second best. EXCEL CALCULATOR hopped at the start, trailed in the three path, was roused midway around the far turn, angled out to the eight path entering the final furlong, and finished evenly to get up for show late. FROST ALERT raced up close along the rail, was ridden around the far turn, but faded in the stretch. GASOLINE raced in midpack from the four path, was driven around the far turn, swung from the seven path into the lane, but flattened. BOOMING was wellback in the four path going into the far turn and passed tired inner rivals from out in the eight path down the stretch. PATCH O'BRIEN rated in the three path, was roused from the two path midway around the far turn, but made no closing bid. WARTIME HERO tracked in the two path, was driven around the far turn, but weakened from the four path in the stretch. EASTSIDE COOL stalked in the four path up the backstretch, was ridden in the three path around the far turn, but yielded on the left lead. COME OUT FIGHTING raced off the pace inside but never menaced.
