Chart notes
COUNT DRACULA dueled two wide, battled through a hot pace down the backstretch, drew clear turning for home, fended off an inner pursuer through the final furlong and held from an outer challenger late. BEARINGS tracked the run-away embattled leading pair while moving out to the four path around the first turn, pursued fanning to the five path into the lane, ran on to offer a late bid but was denied. BENDER settled well back in the path, progressed along the rail into upper stretch, took aim inside of the clear leader in the final furlong but flattened out late. WHAT A DUDE dueled for the lead inside of the eventual winner, drew away from the rest while through a fast pace down the backstretch, yielded to his outer counterpart around the far turn then weakened between horses entering the lane in the four path. HOLCOMBE lacked speed in the two path and got outrun.
