Chart notes
COURT OF APPEAL bumped with an outer foe at the start, trailed early, was ridden in the two path around the turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the lane, rallied into the final furlong, and nailed an inner rival at the wire. SAINT BENJI pressed the pace, bid under a nudge in the three path midway around the turn, took command at the top of the stretch, kicked away into the final furlong, but got nailed by a late surging outer foe at the wire. MARKING BROADWAY stalked in the four path, lost ground around the turn, floated out to the five path entering the lane, finished evenly, and nailed the inner pacesetter for show at the wire. MR. MATIC bumped with an inner foe at the start, showed the way in the two path, was cued along the inside when challenged midway around the turn, but lost the lead while back in the two path at the top of the stretch, and gave way.
