Chart notes
FLAT OUT LUCK was the trailer up the backstretch, then responded when asked to go on the turn, rallied strongly and was up in the last jump. COOL OKIE raced three-wide early with the tracking group, launched a bid with three-furlongs to run, kept to task with a grinding finish in the middle of the track, got to the leader in the final yards then was split by the winner in the last jump. HIS WAY rushed up to vie for the early lead, got a head in front near the half, with a couple of rivals pressing the issue to the outside, was briefly headed by DOWN PERISCOPE midway through the turn, but came back and seized the advantage in upper stretch, but weakened in the final yards and was overtaken in sight of the finish line. UNITER chased on the inside of the second flight tracking the trio up front, lost some ground on the turn, then found a second wind in the stretch and was closing in but ran out of time. LUCKYBLINGMOUNTAIN pressed the pace three-wide into the turn, got a head in front approaching the three-furlong pole, then flattened out in the stretch and outfinished. DOWN PERISCOPE settled in mid-pack early, then lacked a finish. RUGGED SAWYER LEE vied between horses for the early lead, dropped off the pace near the seven-sixteenths marker, and steadily faded from that point.
