Chart notes
FAST LANE ONLY was the inside of a pair tracking behind the pace battle up front, was put in a steady drive midway through the turn, then kept to task through the stretch, steady closed the gap on the leading group and got up in the final yards. MYRNA raced two-wide in the tracking pair through the first quarter-mile, was left with a lot to do turning for home but took advantage of the tiring leaders up front to rally for the place. CLASSICAL ECHO rushed up to join the early leaders, edged ahead to take a narrow advantage going into the turn, got first run into the stretch with the early foes still in pursuit, opened up a bit, but weakened in the final yards and yielded to fast closing rivals near the wire. IRISH LASS broke on top then was quickly joined by BRAXTON'S GIRL and CLASSICAL ECHO to contest the early lead, had to be ridden to keep up through the turn, then found a bit of a second wind to come back on and just missed the minor award. BRAXTON'S GIRL contested the early pace from between horses, was under a ride approaching the quarter pole in an effort to keep up with CLASSICAL ECHO but was outfinished. PRETTY IRENE was unable to keep pace early and brought up the rear in the run down the backstretch, and never fired.
