Chart notes
GRAND ORACLE set the pace inside, drew away while under a nudge from off the rail around the turn, came under a drive while swinging from the three path into the stretch, and dug in stubbornly to hold firm. HIGHWAY PATROL stalked in the three path, was coaxed midway around the turn, took aim in the four path at the top of the lane, ran on while on the left lead before switching around the sixteenth, and was second best. AMENTUM chased in the two path, was ridden in the three path around the turn, floated out to the seven path in upper stretch, and kept on outside of rivals for show. LOWER BROADWAY was prompted from up close in the two path, driven around the turn, angled out to the six path turning into the lane, but faded. TALL COTTON raced off the pace in the three path, angled into the two path while under a ride midway around the turn, but was one paced along the inside in the stretch. ONYX OUTLAW was hustled from the back of the pack in the four path and made closing bid. EL GATO AMERICANO was wellback in the two path and made no impact. BLUSHING BEE trailed in the three path and never menaced. IMPROBABILITY tracked inside early but retreated.
