Chart notes
HEAVENVILLE easily made the lead before the first turn, then was left to dictate favorable splits, was still under confident handling late on the far turn, then sprinted clear when roused in upper stretch and went unchallenged to the finish. TURN NORTH settled inside well behind the pace for a half-mile, moved up closer through the far turn, tipped out four-wide for the stretch run, and closed willingly to move into second while never a threat to the winner. TWENTY ONE SKIDOO taced in mid-pack, went evenly while lacking a significant late kick. REMEMBER BIG JIM settled at the rear early, went out to the three-path for the backstretch run, advanced closer heading into the far turn, loomed a big threat near the 1/4 pole, but lacked a kick and finished evenly. PACIFICISLANDTIME chased HEAVENVILLE through the early stages, and was unable to keep pace late. SCHIFTY'S HALOID raced in last and two-wide, lacked a rally.
