Chart notes
MIGHTY LES chased in the four path on the clubhouse turn, challenged from outside on the backstretch, inched ahead around the far turn, dug in under threat from both sides in the final furlong and edged clear late. BAXLEY showed the way in the two path early, challenged by rivals into the backstretch, dueled inside MIGHTY LES in the middle stages and far turn, fought inside pair of rivals in the lane, could not find the needed late kick to overtake MIGHTY LES in the late stages but was able to hold second. EXTRADITION tracked in the two path, moved out and drew closer on the backstretch, went three wide into the far turn, came five wide into the lane, challenged from outside into the final furlong, fought three deep in deep stretch but also could not find the needed late punch. SAINT GOAR raced up close three wide, pressed briefly into the backstretch then moved back to a stalking position, went two wide into the far turn, angled out and came six wide into the lane and lacked further response. EDDIE M tracked widest through the first turn, stayed wide up the backstretch, rounded the far turn three to four wide and could not rally. KING CURLIN unhurried in the early going and moved into the three path, trailed two wide into the far turn and failed to make an impact in the stretch run.
