ONIRICO veered in at the start, quickly recovered, gained the lead along the rail at the five-eighths pole, drew off leaving the turn and swept clear impressively under a steady hand ride. DR SPIRITO settled well while four wide early, advanced on the turn under urging, proved no match but kept on. MY TROOPER chased between rivals, entered the stretch three wide and stayed on. MACHICO MADEIRA raced in striking position while three wide early and lacked a rally. HE'S MY BOY was outrun while racing three wide and did not factor.
