LE GRIS was hustled from the gate, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader with company also to his outside, vied in the three path while drawing even on the turn, dueled with CRUSHED IT until inside the furlong marker then proved no match for the winner while able to get the place. CRUSHED IT stalked the pace on the outside, inched closer in the four path on the turn, was roused late on that bend, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, dueled with the runner-up until inside the furlong marker and weakened but was clear for the show.
