Chart notes
HELLO ANGEL stalked in the four path, loomed up confidently to bid from the three path midway around the turn, led passing the quarter, and kicked away rapidly down the lane to be much the best. SAMMY SAM SAM set a clear pace in the three path, tipped into the two path entering the turn, was cued passing the three-eighths pole, lost the lead to the runaway winner passing the quarter, then faded along the inside down the stretch, but held a share of place. EMMALLENE raced in midpack from the four path, was ridden in the three path around the turn, flattened from the four path down the lane, but split place honors. LINE RUNNER chased in the two path, was pushed along between foes around the turn, but weakened from the three path on the left lead in the final furlong. SURELY THE ONE raced off the pace in the four path and made no closing bid. PRONE TO GREATNESS tracked inside but retreated. PRINCESS HARPER broke slowly, was wellback in the two path and never menaced. DIXIE trailed out in the five path and was never involved. COURU rated in the two path but weakened.
