Chart notes
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT (IRE) showed the way in the two path then drew off under mild urging. MR. VAGGIO stalked along the inside into the turn, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch and ran on to prove second best. TELECASTER pressed the leader from the three path, pursued along with an outer rival turning for home, vied for place with that one through midstretch but got outkicked by a wider challenger at the sixteenth pole. PAYTON'S HAMMER trailed in the two path, entered the lane in the six path, shifted wider then moved up late. HALLEY'S COMET tracked in the four path, roused closer around the turn, vied for place nearing the lane and through upper stretch but yielded between rivals at the sixteenth pole. FUZZY STARE broke a step slow, pursued from midpack in the five to three path into the turn then lacked a bid. PARAMOUNT'S PICK lacked speed in the four path, fanned out to the seven path into the lane and failed to factor. CARDIFF REEF chased along the inside, moved out to the four path in upper stretch, but shifted back inwardly shortly after then gave way.
