Chart notes
BAYTOWN BRUISER ceded the early lead to press then stalk, advanced retaking the lead at the five-sixteenths, drew clear under urging, held sway. PARTY WITH SMARTY settled off the pace shifting in up the backstretch racing off the fence, cut the corner turning for home, came out in deep stretch to meet an outside foe and secure the place. BRIGHTY switched out off the inside early, stalked the leading pair into the turn, advanced four to five wide on that bend under urging by the quarter pole and within striking distance but evened out thereafter. TELL 'EM I'M COMIN was unhurried while lacking speed, saved ground on the turn, passed a tired rival. BE THA JUDGE soon moved to the lead, set the pace from off the rail shadowed by the eventual winner, gave way. PUNCH IT MARGARET failed to threaten while racing off the inside part of the track.
