Chart notes
LADY ORIENT was rated in the one to two path, began closing in on the leader after the half mile marker, pressed the pace through the far turn and took charge at the top of the stretch, kept to task to earn the victory. ROMANY ROAD settled off the pace, began closing in along the outside of the far turn, showed an impressive rally to just get up for the place honors. AMERICAN SELECT showed good early speed, led uncontestedly up the backstretch, came under pressure in the far turn until grudgingly giving way at the top of the stretch, got nailed for the place award and was given a show finish. DON'T BE SALTY settled off the pace, steadily advanced up the backstretch, gained position along the inside of the far turn before shifting out three wide at the top of the stretch, got out-finished for the minor awards. NEVER REALLY KNOW (IRE) was rated three to four wide, steadily advanced up the backstretch to stalk the pace through the far turn, flattened out in the stretch. THOUSAND ANGELS settled off the pace, never threatened. POLSKA SUE chased the early pace, got pinched back entering the far turn, retreated then on. LINDA FAYE trailed distantly throughout, outran.
