Chart notes
BEAU DAY hustled away to press the pace from the inside, dueled around the turn inside of ORDER OF MERIT before edging away midway down the stretch and kicked clear late. KNICKS STORY raced near the back to the turn then advanced from four wide to engage the leaders near the quarter pole and dug in for a late push to be up for the place. ORDER OF MERIT rushed to a pressured lead down the backstretch then dueled outside of BEAU DAY around the turn and was outfinished in the stretch. CLAY'S BLACK OPAL chased the leaders down the backstretch, fell back on the turn and showed late interest in the stretch to improve his position. PEPPERMINT CANDY was forwardly placed down the backstretch then made a mild bid on the turn but had no late kick. MULTIPLE OPINIONS was close up early then dropped back and was outrun. FAVORITE OUTLAW was tardy leaving the gate, trailed to the turn and passed tired ones. SLICK COUNTRY BOY reared as the gates opened the hopped awkwardly out of the gate, raced near the back while racing wide throughout.
