TROTSKY dueled inside for the lead, shook free on the turn, responded when roused, drew off and widened under urging. CAPTAIN FANCY raced off the pace, chased inside on the turn, moved up to challenge entering the stretch, then failed to threaten the winner and held for second. TAVERN TIME was outrun early, came three wide into the lane, rallied mildly outside and was along for the show spot. LECANTO raced off the pace inside, moved up on the rail entering the stretch, then lacked a rally. HEPHEPCUTDOWNNETS raced off the pace, chased two wide on the turn and had no rally. NANTUCKET dueled two wide for the lead, chased the winner on the turn and faded.
