Chart notes
ROYALAMERICAN trailed the field to the half mile pole then circled the field to run down the leader and be up in the final jump. I AM WHAT I AM raced in the middle of the pack down the backstretch then moved up on the turn and made a rail bid in the stretch to take the lead near the sixteenth pole but was nipped at the wire. HOW ABOUT BOB broke sharply to press the pace to the turn then fell back slightly, raced three wide in to the stretch for the late kick but bumped with DREWTONIAN near the eight pole and was outfinished late. WESTERN MAN raced in the middle of the pack to the turn then moved up from four wide on the turn and was gaining late on the show. DREWTONIAN went to the front to set the pace, drew clear on the turn but was headed near the eighth pole while drifting out, bumped with HOW ABOUT BOB and weakened late. RUNAROUND ROWDY was away alertly to vie for the lead from three wide to the turn then faded and was not a factor. CAPTAIN FLATTER was off a step slow then raced in the middle of the pack to the half mile marker before dropping back and was outrun.
