Chart notes
ANGEL WINGS stalked outside a rival or off the rail, took aim three then four wide on the turn, latched onto LADY FORTUNE at the top of the lane, battled while drifting to the middle of the track and wore down the runner-up. LADY FORTUNE took control early outside a rival then cleared approaching the half-mile pole, showed the way two then three wide on the turn, met the bid from ANGEL WINGS in upper stretch, resisted while drifting out some but yielded grudgingly late. KAT TRAX got bumped between rivals at the start, advanced from outside, went three wide into the turn, came five wide into the lane and got by CITY SIGNS for the show honors. CITY SIGNS brushed leaving the gate, chased in the two path leaving the backstretch, spun four wide into the lane, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more and lost third to KAT TRAX late. COWGIRL SARA settled near the back then trailed in the early going, raced on the fence into the turn, steered out at the quarter pole, entered the lane five wide and improved position. COMMISSIONER D broke in and bumped, chased near the back, went two wide around the bend, tipped four wide approaching the stretch and lacked a rally. TALE OF THE LYON traveled in mid-pack early on while staying off the rail, rounded the bend three then two wide and failed to respond. FREE AS A BREEZE raced well off the pace in the opening rounds, went two wide into the turn, got floated six wide late on the bend and failed to menace. BOX STEP pressed briefly from inside then chased up the backstretch, lost ground while staying on the fence around the bend and faded in the lane.
