CLARELY TOM broke sharply, was taken in hand, raced in striking position while three wide, took over on the turn and edged clear thereafter under a drive. BENNY'S CANDY MAN off a step slowly, chased while three wide, improved his position on the turn and stayed on in the stretch. LEWIS THE ROBBER led early, was headed the on turn, proved no match but kept on for a minor share. TICKET TO PARADISE never menaced.
