Chart notes
ARTEMIS SOUND angled in while hustled to the front, was well rated while setting the pace, went around the turn in the two path, was given her cue outside the five-sixteenths pole, responded well when put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop inside the furlong marker and held under steady urging. ALWAYS PRACTICAL became fractious in the gate when a neighboring foe broke through the front, was hustled from the gate, moved out behind the leader then tracked the pace, chased in the three path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and secured the place. INTENTIOUS dropped back between horses early then settled at the rear, traveled around the turn in the two path, was roused near the quarter-pole, chased under a drive in the stretch and lacked the needed kick while just able to get the show. ROMANTIC DANCER raced just off the pace on the inside, was asked outside the quarter-pole, chased along the rail in the stretch and lacked the needed kick then just missed the show. WILL NOT BE SWAYED broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, settled on the outside, went around the turn in the four path, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, chased outside under a drive into the final furlong and weakened.
