Chart notes
VIBE stalked the pace in the three path, seized command approaching the quarter pole, quickly cleared, lugged in near the sixteenth pole and held clear under hand urging. FACT raced in range in the four path, had aim outside of the winner but was second best. STATESMAN raced off the pace two wide, steadied near the seven-sixteenths marker, made progress inside of foes in upper stretch and won the duel for the show. FIRST CALL BOB was reluctant to load, raced off the pace three wide and lacked the needed rally. ROCKETEER set the pace in the two path and tired after six furlongs. RAFAROO became fractious in the gate in reaction to the opening of an adjacent gate, chased the pace inside and retreated after a half.
