Chart notes
MANHATTAN CHROME appeared to hit the gate at the start then was strongly urged and quickly made the lead, set the pace from off the rail shadowed by an outside foe, was asked at the top of the stretch, held that rival at bay while being kept to task. MO SPICE got away well then ceded the lead, stalked the eventual winner from outside, could make no headway but was second best. ESCAPE HALL tracked from inside the second flight, was just off the rail through the turn, came out leaving that bend and further still in upper stretch, kept on to secure show honors. MERCILESANIHILATOR exchanged a bump at the start, dropped back from between runners up the backstretch, moved out on the turn, swung seven wide into upper stretch, ran on. ESSENTIALLY FAST chased from outside, fanned six wide into upper stretch, dropped back and faded. MIAMI KAZ exchanged a bump at the start, unhurriedly brought up the rear, saved ground on the turn, was never near enough to threaten.
