Chart notes

ALL AMERICAN ROD forced the pace outside, dueled through the final turn, edged to the front in mid-stretch and moved clear. MY IMAGINATION well back early, faded on the final turn then closed well inside too late. MR FLOWERS hustled clear for half mile, vied through the final turn and weakened slightly. DREAMBUILDER saved ground close up, angled out into the stretch, loomed a threat but flattened out. IRON SHARPENS IRON raced off the leaders inside then proved empty in the stretch. CHAIN LIGHTNING dropped back early, chased between foes and gave way. SMILE MAKER settled four wide off the pace and stopped on the final turn.
