Chart notes
PLUM TUFF veered out while being hustled away to a clear early lead, held sway through the turn, and maintained a clear advantage through the stretch under steady handling. SHELTOWEES ROCKET chased the pacesetter two-wide, gave game chase through the stretch, but could not reel in that foe while finishing well clear of the next horse. RASCAL FLASH tracked three-wide off the pace, ran on late to gain third, but was never a serious threat to the winner. RIPMAN took up after the start, chased the pace from the rail, then weakened a bit in the final furlong. LUCKY'S PRIZE was outpaced from the start and under a ride early, was mildly gaining in the late stages. BUCKEYE MIKE raced three-wide near the back and lacked a rally. HE IS DYNAMIC dropped far back early and was never involved.
