GOLDIENESS vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, responded when roused, pulled away under some urging and was ridden out. ARUMA vied two wide for the lead, dueled with the winner on the turn, was no match for that rival in the lane and held on for second. GOLDEN PHILLY raced off the early pace, chased on the turn and closed mildly in the final furlong. SO SWELL was outrun early, moved up on the turn, came two wide into the lane, drifted in crowding a rival at the sixteenth marker, then failed to threaten. MIKEY'S SONG raced off the pace, chased inside on the turn, lacked a rally on the rail, then was in tight and crowded at the sixteenth marker. CREME CARAMEL raced off the rail, off the pace and was outrun. After a Jockey Objection by the rider of MIKEY SONG against the fourth place finisher, SO SWELL was disqualified and placed fifth for interference in the stretch run.
