Chart notes
BOURBON SOCIETY set a contested pace from just off the rail up the backstretch, came under pressure when headed passing the three-eighths pole, but dug in gamely from the two path down the lane, and forged clear. YOU AIN'T POPPN pressed the wining inner pacesetter, vied for the lead while pushed along from the two path around the far turn, fought on from the four path down the stretch, could not keep up with the winner in the final furlong, but held place. FIRST BID raced off the pace in the three path, came under pressure midway around the far turn, swung from the five path into the lane, and kept on but just missed place. GLOBAL QUOTE steadied between foes midway around the first turn, stalked in the three path, got put to a ride midway around the far turn, but flattened. CITY OF OSCARS tracked inside but weakened in the stretch.
