Chart notes
DISTANT FLEET settled while six wide, advanced on the turn, was swung seven wide into the stretch, rallied strongly and was going away at the finish. BOOK SMART raced in striking position while five wide, lodged a six wide bid leaving the turn, reached the front just past the furlong marker and was reeled in late. DEPARTURE outpaced while four wide, continued five wide for the stretch run and stayed on well. SAWASDEE gained the early lead, held well into the stretch but was worn down in the last eighth. MISSION BEACH chased the pacesetter while four wide and never menaced. DIAMOND RIM raced forwardly along the inside and lacked a rally. SEE THROUGH IT outrun while four wide, was angled in toward the rail just past the three-sixteenths pole and made no impact. AUGUSTA MELODY stalked the pace, was urged to improve on the turn and weakened in the stretch. KNOCKOUT GUY was outrun early and took no part.
