Chart notes
CLAY'S BLACK OPAL dueled for the lead from the inside to the top of the stretch before edging away and won going away. KNICKS STORY was close up on the pace before moving up from four wide on the turn and made a late run to be second best. BOBWHITE BOBBY raced off the pace from two wide down the backstretch then moved up to engage the leader midway through the turn but was no match for the winner and outfinished late. BEAU DAY dueled for the lead from two wide to the top of the stretch before tiring. MANNY'S KAT was away alertly to show the early foot then fell back, raced five wide in upper stretch but was not a threat. BEN DIESEL chased the leaders but lacked a bid and was not a factor. THE JOCKEY OF KNICKS STORY CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST CLAY'S BLACK OPAL FOR ALLEDGED INTERFERENCE AT THE START, AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW THE CLAIM OF FOUL WAS DISALLOWED AND NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
