Chart notes
THE PINK Z broke sharply to have the early foot then prompted the pace to the turn before gaining ground on the leader and was up in the final yards. IRONCLAD ALIBI stalked the pace from the inside through the turn then shifted out to the three path near the eighth pole to make a late charge to be second best. MIDNIGHT WARSHIP rushed to the front to set the pace with a clear lead to the top of the stretch but was worn down in late stretch and outfinished. CHIEF BUCKEYE was allowed to settle near the back down the backstretch then moved up from the three path on the turn, tipped out to the seven path in upper stretch to show the late interest to be the best of the rest. PRIVATE DRIVE raced in the middle of the pack from the four path and made a mild bid but had no impact. GENERAL WINSTON raced in the middle of the pack to the half mile marker before fading but made a belated bid to improve his position. EL MARRO tracked the leaders early then faded slightly and failed to menace. GOLDSTRIKER trailed the field to the top of the stretch and passed a tired one. MUCHO PRIMO chased the leader early then retreated and was not a threat.
