Chart notes
BAM'S BLISS KISS showed speed and set the pace, extended the advantage in the two path on the turn, drew off into upper stretch then was asked some and widened under a mild hand-ride to win handily. BRZINA chased the pace, went around the turn in the three then two path and proved no match for the winner while able to hold the place. DESPO'S DREAM was coaxed along behind horses, went around the turn in the three then four path and lacked the needed response while clear for the show. MEZCALIFORNIA was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the five path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to rally. LOOKS FIRST was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. CITY BLOCKS was urged along off the pace, raced inside for most of the turn, shifted to the four path outside the quarter-pole, was driven into the stretch in the six path then moved further out and also came up empty. LITERARY broke a bit awkwardly but with the field, settled behind foes, was urged along in the four then five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the seven path then moved further out and failed to respond. LA GRAN ARTESANA had her saddle adjusted behind the gate, chased the pace, went around the turn in the four then three path, pursued the winner into upper stretch and capitulated.
