Chart notes
QUATROCENTO set a rated pace along the rail, responded to a challenge near the quarter pole, shook clear in upper stretch and held safe under left-handed urging. WESTSIDE TIDE saved ground off the pace, advanced two wide around most of the far turn, angled four wide near the quarter pole and finished well to gain the place. BEACH GOLD raced closest to the winner two wide, bid nearing the quarter pole, turned for home on even terms but was turned back and lost the place late. SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS settled off the pace two wide, made good progress three wide around the far turn but was one-paced through the lane. MISSED THE CUT saved ground off the pace, went three wide around the far turn, angled widest near the quarter pole and lacked the needed stretch. CARSON'S RUN was outrun inside. PREVENT was firmly rated inside and lacked a closing bid.
