Chart notes
TALL COTTON pressed the pace from two wide to near the three furlong marker then moved up to engage the leader midway through the final turn and took command near the quarter pole and won going away. UNITER was allowed to settle between horses while racing near the back to the quarter pole then tipped out to three wide to make a late run and was second best. PASSED PROMISE hustled to the lead from the inside held that position before being engaged midway through the final turn and was overtaken near the quarter pole and weakened. DOWNTOWN MOTOWN raced off the pace while saving ground down the backstretch before fading on the final turn and was not a factor. TITANIUM MAN tracked the leaders from three wide down the backstretch then made a mild bid on the final turn but faltered. BRUNCH SPOT stumbled badly leaving the gate and jockey lost their irons, trailed the field many lengths.
