Chart notes
MIAMI FRANK raced in striking position while five wide early, advanced on the turn, put his head in front at the five-sixteenths marker, lost the lead at the three-sixteenths, fought back gamely under pressure in the stretch and edged clear in the last sixteenth. HE'S A BEAST off a step slowly, recovered to chase while racing closest to the rail, was checked when short of room approaching the three-eighths pole, responded when urged on the turn, led at the three-sixteenths pole, dug in but was worn down in the last sixteenth. SOUND OF THE BEAST gained the early lead, was headed on the turn and proved no factor in the stretch. ADIOS MATE chased the pace while four wide and lacked a rally. AWESOME BEAST saved ground, was urged on the turn and offered no response.
