SHIRL'S DELIGHT brushed outer foe a the start, dictated the terms of the race, began to pull away at the three eighths marker, kicked clear of the field under minimal encouragement from the rider, geared down for the final sixteenth, much the best. SOUTHAMPTON DOCK brushed inner foe at the start, stalked the pace three wide, unable to keep up with the winner. SYNERGISM shadowed the pace between runners, backed off in the far turn, passed tiring foe in the stretch. ANGIE'S REWARD ran close up along the inside, lacked response to the riders encouragement in the far turn, faded down the stretch.
