Chart notes
NIGHT quickly assumed command with a couple foes on his heels, lengthened advantage in the final furlong. MYSTICAL DANCE split foes up the backstretch, shadowed the pace through the far turn and upper stretch, held at bay by the winner. MAN WITH THE MONEY tracked the pace four wide, moved up to stalk the pace through the turn, chased on down the stretch. COST OF WAR was rated along the inside, finished evenly. THREE MILE GOLD was the first one out of the gate, immediately relinquished command to NIGHT, chased the pace between runners, took a slight hold at the three eighths, flattened out in the stretch. SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED had an awkward start, trailed for most, passed tiring foe. I'M NOT SURPRISED settled off the pace, lacked response.
