Chart notes
LUCKY COUGAR moved up on the turn to share the lead with ASIAN MATRIARCH coming out of the first turn, assumed the lead when that rival backed out at the seven-sixteenths, dug in gamely when confronted again near the quarter pole, held firm along the rail, and just lasted. ASIAN MATRIARCH was first to the front, slowed the pace, then went down the backstretch together with LUCKY COUGAR well clear of the other pair, backed out at the seven-sixteenths pole to get off the rail, then came back two-wide attempting to re-take the lead, battled the stubborn rival through the length of the stretch but could not get by. MIA'S GO settled well behind the top two through the early stages, was making up some ground in the late stages, but ultimately came up short. IMA MOM raced three to four wide at the back and never threatened.
