Chart notes
OUR FAVORITE SON unhurried in the early part, moved up on the inside entering the turn, angled out, rallied down the stretch and finished strong. ROCKETEIGHTYEIGHT showed early speed, drove clear, couldn't hold off the winner late, but was best of others. LAURI'S WISH vied for early lead, saved ground around the turn, but proved no match for the top two. MCLAREN VALE lacked early speed, made a steady gain, but was no real factor. MOTOR CITY raced near the back in the beginning, moved up, finished wide and was no threat. CONTRABANDIST raced within striking distance and faded. SAFARINFAS pressed the early pace and made a steady retreat. GRAZEN BOY void of early speed, came around the turn wide and was no threat. LOUDERMILK always raced near the back, came around the turn wide and showed little.
