Chart notes
PATERNO stalked outside, moved up quickly on the turn, bid three wide, dueled with CLARELY TOM into the stretch, battled heads apart with that rival through a long drive and prevailed late. CLARELY TOM dueled three wide for the early lead, led on the turn, dueled with PATERNO into the stretch, dug in gamely inside of that rival and continued willingly to the finish. MIAMI KAZ checked at the start, was outrun early, moved up at the quarter pole, angled out and rallied mildly outside for third. FINE DIAMOND dueled between rivals for the lead, chased on the turn and tired. PEACH SMOOTHIE chased inside, chased on the turn and lacked a rally. BORZ raced off the pace between rivals, inside on the turn, came three wide into the lane and failed to threaten. DESIGNED BY SMARTY dueled inside for the early lead and gave way on the turn.
