Chart notes
CRUDE VELOCITY broke a hair slow then bumped with SANTARENA twice shortly after, stalked the top trio from outside, bid four then three wide around the bend, put a head in front turning for home, cleared FOR ALL MANKIND while starting to drift towards the inside, then drew off under left handed encouragement and was in hand late. FOR ALL MANKIND pressed three deep up the backstretch, dueled outside COMEDY TOWN at the five-sixteenths pole, took over at the quarter pole, lost command entering the lane, could not keep up with CRUDE VELOCITY into the final furlong and stayed on to secure second. DEER DISTRICT chased the leaders from inside, tipped out at the quarter pole, could not summon the needed rally but was able to hold third. SANTARENA bumped with CRUDE VELOCITY shortly after the start, trailed in range of the leaders from well off the rail, navigated the turn in the four path and weakened in the lane. COMEDY TOWN fought for the lead inside a pair of rivals in the early going, dueled with FOR ALL MANKIND at the five-sixteenths pole, lost command at the quarter pole and gave way. ITS A CINCH dueled outside COMEDY TOWN then vied between rivals into the turn, started to weaken midway around the bend and tired in the lane.
