Chart notes
HOT LEGS ROMOLO assumed command after exiting the chute, pulled away in the upper stretch, geared down while in hand for the final furlong, much the best. BROTHER REID got pinched back at the start, raced off the pace, gained along the outside of the far turn, continued driving down the stretch to earn the place honors. CLIFF DIVER tracked the pace three wide, lacked bid, got up for the show award. CANE CREEK ROAD chased the pace, flattened out in the stretch. COASTAL WATERS trailed after the first turn, passed tiring foes in the stretch. FORT LANGLEY raced off the pace, weakened in the stretch, never threatened. UNUSUAL WIN broke swiftly, gave way to HOT LEGS ROMOLO shortly after the start, chased up the backstretch, began to weaken in the far turn. This race originally had a timing discrepancy or malfunction, and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
