Chart notes
WOOHOO JACKIE BLUE rated kindly off the pace down the back stretch, quickened stride inside leaving the quarter pole, checked off heels approaching the furlong marker, quickly darted out four wide into the lane, picked up momentum outside rivals, rallied clear for the victory. BURNAWAY tracked the pace around the first two turns, took aim four wide nearing the quarter pole, took a slim lead into the lane, collared in deep stretch, game try edged out. JUDITH'S CROSS hustled up out of the gate, dueled inside around the first turn, assumed the lead when MELANCIA backed off around the club house turn, collared approaching the quarter pole, stayed on willingly through the stretch for the show. SARATOGA EMPRESS (GB) outrun down the backside, bid six wide upper, by-faders late, improved position through the wire. BEACHGRASS tracked off the pace and off the rail down the backside, sent to the attack five deep into the lane, bid evened out through the final sixteenth. MELANCIA broke sharp, dueled two wide around the first turn, eased off the pace around the club house turn, pressed between runners around the far turn, weakened through the stretch. NEVER SO LUCKY (IRE) saved ground well off the pace, under pressure leaving the quarter pole, faltered through the stretch.
